The best thing about living in Connecticut is that the weather is surprising. Somedays it will be really hot and the next day it will be really cold. But there are rarely any natural disators such as tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. We also have snowy winters and really hot summers. I like having a surprise when I wake up in the morning.
The thing that makes our school different is our use of technology and the will of our teachers to try something new and different.
I am nervous about high school because I am afraid that all the teachers will give a lot of hard work and be really strick. I am a really slow test taker, and my math teacher always says that “in high school teachers won’t let you take extra time on a test or quiz.” I am also worried that if I screw up on something big in high school, like SAT’s, I won’t have as good of a chance of getting into a good college, or university. I love sports and I can’t wait to play football for my high school team. I can’t wait to support my high school sports teams too. When I go to college sports events I always see the student section going crazy and cheering on their school, and I think to myself I can’t wait to do that. I go and support my middle school’s basketball team, I am at almost every game.
24 years ago today the first football coach for the Chicago Bears, George S Halas, died. George S Halas was offered to work for the A. E. Staley Company, and play for the company sponsored baseball and football teams. He played and coached the football team. Halas selected his alma mater’s colors — orange and blue — for the team’s uniforms. In 1920, Halas represented the Staleys at the meeting which formed the American Professional Football Association (which became the NFL in 1922) in Canton, Ohio. Company founder and namesake Augustus E. Staley turned control of the team to Halas in 1921. Halas moved the team to Chicago and took on teammate Dutch Sternaman as a partner. George S Halas was a big and important part of the NFL.

“To be successful as a student it is good to be advanced with technology and to have a good college education.” I agree with James Vumbaco, because I think many jobs in the future will require education with technology and to get jobs the employers will want to employ someone with a great college education. The more education the better chances there are for someone to get a job over another person trying to get that job.
I E-Mailed a restaurant franchise called Steak N Shake. You probably have never heard of them because there aren’t any in CT. I ate at one in Pennsylvania on a road trip to visit family in Illonois. They have the best milkskakes I have ever tasted. They are also known for their steak sandwhiches. Well my e-mail to them was that I thought they should open a restaurant here in Connecticut. I haven’t recieved an e-mail back from them though but if I do I will let you know.
Mayor Dickenson is telling a story about a kangoroo. A zoo got a kangoroo and had to keep making the fence for it taller because the kangoroo kept getting out. The kangoroo didn’t jump over the fence though, the zoo keepers just always forgot the basiscs and never locked the gate so the kangoroo got out every night.
I read a post on a blog only about the New York Giants. If you follow this link you can read it too http://http://www.nfl-giants.com/ . It was about how the Giants have a better run game then a pass game and that they should use their strengths. I agreed with the author of this post when he said “Let’s make ours a run-first offense and not try to outpass the Patriots.” My comment was that I agree and if the run offense can win the ball game for them then why should they keep passing the ball.

“But it’s Burress’ penchant for scoring that has set him apart. His seven touchdowns lead the NFC and tie him with New England’s Randy Moss for first in the NFL. Burress, who needs just three more scores to tie the career-high he set last season, could become the first Giant to lead the conference in touchdown receptions since Earnest Gray in 1980. Gray had 10 scores that season.”
This is part of the article written by Michael Eisen about Plexico Burress WR NYG. He is having one of his best seasons ever. Here’s the link. NY Giants
I don’t think the drug tests are necessary. Maybe if there is debate about High School students under achieving in academics or people claim they cheat or use steroids then I think the drug tests would be appropiate. However I don’t think they should do it any age under High School. They also should have parents permision and explain to the parents why they are testing for drugs.
